Interim: Your Next Steps
• Review your personal marketing materials. Website need an update? Now is a good time to do that so you can reference it during your phone interview.
• Contact your accountant. 1099 contracts require you set aside money for self employment taxes. You will want to know what you need to set aside before next April.
• Consider becoming incorporated. You can turn your interim brand into an LLC in less than an hour for around $100. This will help navigate the 1099 process.
